Scottsburg (IN) Chronicle, Wednesday, October 27, 1915, p. 1.
The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Baurley (sic) of Hamilton Township,
Jackson County, who was in a
serious condition for some time as the result of a dose of carbolic acid
administered, presumably with murderous intent by someone, is improving and
physicians say that the baby's chances of recovery are encouraging. The
child's grandmother was declared of unsound mind and was committed to the
insane asylum.
