AS TO GEORGE FINNEY
One Twin
Mr. George E. Finney seems to have soured on Columbus entirely. He has
neither kind word or place in his heart for his old home and neighbors. But
the people of Columbus know what is the matter with Mr. Finney. He may be
able to deceive the people of Martinsville for a time, but we know that they
will soon learn that the thing that ails Mr. Finney was his failure to get
the Columbus post office. This and this only has converted this otherwise
fair field into a waste place and left him nothing but bitter reflections as
he looks this way.
