JOSEPH GABLE HAS NOT BEEN SEEN SINCE YESTERDAY MORNING
And His Mysterious Disappearance Causes His Family Much Uneasiness
Joseph Gable has dropped out of sight. He has not been seen since yesterday
morning. His family is very anxious about him and cannot understand his
absence.
Early yesterday morning he went to his home and taking a shotgun and some
shells that belonged to Charles Pfeifer, he remarked to his wife that he was
going to return the gun to Mr. Pfeifer.
His son, Leoti, thinking Mr. Gable was going hunting, remarked that he had
better change his clothes, when he replied that he was not going hunting.
Several persons called for him who wanted to see him in business yesterday,
but he could not be found. Last night he did not return to his home and
this morning the anxiety of his family relative to his whereabouts and
safety is intense.
