W. C. T. U. ELECTS OFFICERS
The W. C. T. U. held a very pleasant as well as profitable meeting yesterday
afternoon at the home of Mrs. S. T. Zollman, L. Street. Mrs. Pearson gave a
very concise and interesting talk on the proposed amendments to be voted on
September 6th of the state constitution.
An invitation was received and plans discussed to attend a country meeting
to be held Sept. 6th at the home of Mrs. Claude Dollins in Oolitic.
The following officers were elected: Mrs. W. A. Brown, president; Mrs. J.
W. Newland, vice president; Mrs. A. R. Wallis, recording secretary; Mrs. J.
Blessing, corresponding secretary, Mrs. C. H. Emery, treasurer.
During the social hour, the hostess served lovely refreshments.
