Brownstown (IN) Banner, October 20, 1920, p. 1.
Mrs. Mary Forsythe, aged 93 years, died at her home in Seymour Tuesday
morning of general infirmities.
Deceased bore the distinction of being the widow of a veteran of the War of
1812. This remarkable circumstance is brought about from the fact that when
she married at the age of 22, her husband was about twice her age. He was
born in 1794 and died in 1876 at the age of 82 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hoover of Seymour, and a
grandson, Harry Arnold of Deer Lodge, Montana.
The funeral services were held this afternoon and the remains were taken to
Charlestown, Indiana, for burial.
