Crawford County (IN) Democrat, April 4, 1900, p. 3.
Mrs. Neely, widow of Abraham Neely, very aged and infirm, was lying in bed
at her home three miles southeast of Corydon, on the 3rd, smoking a pipe.
Fire from the pipe ignited the bedclothes, and she was so badly burned as to
endanger her life before her screams brought assistance.
