A WHITECAP'S CAPER
Louisville, Ky., December 15-William Gregory, who is indicted at Corydon,
Indiana, as a whitecap, last night came to Louisville with Lilly Davis, the
18-year-old daughter of G. W. Davis, a wealthy farmer near Corydon. She was
found wandering on the streets of New Albany, Indiana, this morning and told
conflicting stories as to where she had been. Davis is Gregory's bondsman
for $1,000 in the whitecapping case. It is believed that Gregory has fled.
He sold his store at West Fork, near Corydon, a short time before he was
indicted.
