YOUNG MAN COMMITS SUICIDE
Kills Himself in Presence of Sweetheart after Threatening Her
Corydon, Indiana, February 29-Jesse Shewmaker, a young man of this place,
called on his sweetheart and apparently being dissatisfied with the
reception given him, he picked up a revolver, slipped in a cartridge and
pointed the weapon at the girls' head. When she screamed and begged him not
to shoot her, he turned the weapon on himself and fired a bullet into his
head. He died later. Several persons witnessed the tragedy.
