Rev. E. G. Kuenzler and family left this morning for Ann Arbor and thence
they will go to Baltimore where Mr. Kuenzler has accepted the pastorate of
St. John's Evangelical Church, one of the leading churches of that
denomination in Baltimore. He was pastor of the Evangelical Church in this
city for five years and endeared himself to that congregation. During his
pastorate, he founded the Brotherhood and the Ladies Auxiliary and the
beautiful stained glass windows, among the finest in this state, were placed
in the church. He leaves the church in a very prosperous condition with a
larger contributing membership than ever before and in fine financial and
working order. During his last sermon, Sunday, the church was packed to
hear him. Many members of the church were at the B. &. O. train to bid him
goodbye and their wishes for his continued success. The new pastor, Rev.
Meusch of Dayton, O., will take charge in September.
