MAN KILLED CHUM-INSANE?
Jeffersonville, Indiana, August 22---Edward Morton, 21, who calmly killed
his chum, Charlie Bartle, 17, and then explained he had no grudge against
Bartle but wanted to be sent to Michigan City prison where he understood
tobacco was allowed the inmates, is raving alternately about some insurance
that should go to his poor parents upon his death and about tobacco. He is
believed insane.
