REMOVAL OF A CANCER
An Operation at the City Hospital-the Patient Resting Quietly
An operation was performed at the city hospital Thursday last that attracted
much attention from the physicians and surgeons of Columbus. A cancerous
growth was removed from the body of Mrs. Edward Banister. Dr. A. J. Banker,
assisted by Dr. W. C. Roland, Dr. A. J. McLeod, Dr. Jesse Wells and Dr.
Wilson Banker, performed the operation. Dr. A. Rice, Dr. W. H. Butler, and
Dr. J. B. Hudson watched the work.
Mrs. Banister has been ill for some time, and the operation was decided upon
as a last resort to save her life. The surgeons finished their work in
about an hour.
