Logansport was served by the Wabash Railway and Pennsylvania Railroad.
Indianapolis was served by the Pennsylvania, the Big Four, the B&O, the
Illinois Central, the Lake Erie & Western and the Peoria & Eastern.
Assuming your grandfather didn't change jobs (not uncommon) he probably
worked for the Pennsy.

Subject: [IN-RAILROADS] Indianapolis & Logansport railroad
I have been unable to learn very much about my maternal
grandfather
but
have found out that he was a brakeman on a railroad and lived in
Indianapolis in 1900. About ten years later, he is listed as a conductor
and lived in Logansport. Can anyone tell me what railroad(s) serviced
both
cities at that time?
Thanks in advance,
Don Doehring
