sworn, on oath depose and say they are well acquainted with VICTORIA VANN who
makes the foregoing application and statements, and have known HER for 15
years and 15 years, respectively, and know HER to be the identical person
SHE represents HERSELF to be, and that the statements made by HER are true,
to the best of their knowledge and belief, and they have no interest whatever
in HIS claim.

AND RAISED HERE. I WAS ENROLLED BY THE COMMISSIONER OF THE FIVE CIVILIZED
TRIBES AS A CHEROKEE FREEDMEN, ROLL # 2385.
I WAS ENROLLED ON ALL THE ROLLS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE. I GOT STRIP MONEY.
I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH INDIAN BLOOD I HAVE. MY GRANDMOTHER WAS PART CHEROKEE.
I GOT INDIAN BLOOD ON BOTH SIDES. MY MOTHER WAS PATIENCE VANN. SHE LIVED IN
OKLAHOMA ALL OF HER LIFE. I DON'T KNOW FROM WHAT SIDE MY MOTHER GOT HER
BLOOD.
SHE WAS OWNED BY OLIVER ROSS. I WAS BORN AFTER THE WAR AND HAVE NEVER BEEN A
SLAVE. MY MOTHER AND FATHER WERE MARRIED AFTER THE WAR.
MY FATHER WAS ELI VANN. HE IS DEAD. HE LIVED HERE AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH.
HE WAS A SLAVE. HE WAS OWNED BY KATY VANN.
GILBERT VANN WAS HIS FATHER AND HIS MOTHER JANE VANN.
THEY WERE SLAVES. OLD JO VANN OWNED MY GRANDPAP. WE ARE NOT REGUARDED AS OLD
SETTLERS. HAVE NEVER ASSOCIATED WITH ANY OTHER TRIBE. ALL OF MY BROTHERS AND
SISTER LIVE IN OKLAHOMA AND WERE BORN HERE. THEIR NAMES ARE:

CHEROKEE FREEDMEN. WE CLAIM BACK TO THE SAME PEOPLE. SHE IS MY FATHERS
SISTER. SHE WAS A SLAVE.
