My husband has a Jones line in Waterloo Twp. and I'm only mentioning it
because I don't have it too far - I have it back to a William C. Jones,
born 1806 in Maryland and died after 1880 in Waterloo, Fayette County. I
have visited the cemetery but that info might be in my other computer.
His wife's name was Mary (naturally!) and she was born 1810 in Indiana.
Their daughter Rebecca W. (fourth of seven children I've found) married
Lewis Henry Guthrie b. 1816 in KY (she was probably his third wife) and
probably died between 1880 and 1900. I can't find graves for either her
or Lewis. Maybe they are in that same cemetery and I just didn't find
them. I just stumbled on it by accident one day. I only live an hour
away northwest of Dayton, Ohio.
I didn't notice a name on the cemetery but I did take pictures. A
thunderstorm came up very quickly and I had to stop my pursuit. It was
not a tiny cemetery - pretty good size, but very rural and I think south
of a crossroad with fields surrounding it and a house maybe 100 feet to
the south, if I had my bearings right. The storm was very intense and
really threw me off! I was wandering around Waterloo just checking it
out traveling from Connersville to Richmond.

Do you know what county Richard and Hannah Jones lived in when they
were
in PA? I have Mary Jones born in Lycoming Co., PA in 1805. I believe
her father was Samuel Jones, born before 1790 in Wales. Any connection
to Richard?
