There was a John M. Foreman from Knox County that enlisted on Sept/18/1861
into the 33rd IN Infantry,company B. He mustered out on Sept/19/1864.
There was a James N. Foreman from Knox County that enlisted June/7/1861
into the 14th IN Infantry,company B. He died at Huttonsville,VA on November
5,1861.
There was a William W. Foreman from Knox County that enlisted Sept/16/1861
into the 33rd IN Infantry,company B. He re-enlisted on Jan/15/1864 and
mustered out at Louisville,KY on July/21/1865.He was promoted to Sergt
during his service.
There were also 2 Foremans from the Osgood,IN area that served.

Subject: [IN-CIVIL-WAR] Indiana Ubits from Vincesses
What units were made up of Vincennes soldiers? I am starting to look for
FOREMAN men from the Vincennes, Knox County area and wondered if a unit was
usually raised in an area or were the soldiers just assigned any unit. Help.
