I am a computer professional with almost 50 years experience; the "solution" you
outline is not relevant. What has apparently happened is that Rootsweb has temporarily or
permanently lost my long-held log-in info, which I have had on written record for a number
of years. The same thing has recently happened to my Ancestry acount of many years...it
was supposed to have been automatically renewed on 22 Sept. 2007 and actually functioned
up until about New Years, but no longer functions. These organizations are somehow linked,
and they have apparently both lost my subscription info. THAT is why I couldn't
respond to Worley's post. Until I get this all straightened out, I don't wish to
"re-subscribe."

Subject: [IN-CIVIL-WAR] Responding to Board Posts
I apologize to the list for responding to the list rather than Mr. Worley; I don't
seem to be able to respond directly to his post.

Hi John!
This is your friendly neighborhood admin coming to the rescue! :-)
In order to respond to board postings copied to the list, you need to click on the
hypertext or blue link within the message. That will take you to the actual message on
the board. You'll also need to register a username and password to post a response.
This is a one time thing and it doesn't cost you a cent.
Hope this helps!
