Subject: [IN-CIVIL-WAR] Raleigh Sitton
I am looking for information concerning my great-grandfather RALEIGH SITTON.
He was born 11 August 1841 in NORTH CAROLINA; was married to Nancy Jane
Chapple; and was killed in a gas explosion 19 April 1915 in Maxwell, INDIANA
and is buried at Park Cemetery, Greenfield, Indiana with the G.A.R. in
attendance. Their daughter Julia (Sitton Garrett) is my father's mother. I
am particularly interested in his ancestry as well as particulars about his
service in the Civil War; my searches in these areas have been to no avail.
Thanks to anyone who may be able to help me.
Larry Garrett
