Have you checked for her under the name of Hilborn? The reason I ask is that my great
great great grandmother married Isaac Davis in Ohio and I spent several months looking
for the wrong family name. In the DAR Marriage List for Ohio, it said she was Sarah
Kilborn when she was actually Sarah Hilborn. The other thing that makes me wonder is your
reference to the particular section of Canada that a lot of Hilborns went to. If I get a
chance, I will try to check for you. Hope you get the information. Pat Morano

To the kind person who offered to research at Fort Wayne library : If you just
give me direction as I have been try to find the Parents of great grandmother,
Emma Louise Kilborn Shipp for 25 years. I have death certificates, obituaries,
marriage licenses and no mention of parents. my brick wall/
I am searching for the parents of great grandmother, EMMA LOUISE KILBORN OR
KILBURN, born 23, Sept, 1834 at Derby, Orleans Co, Vermont. She was a school
teacher in the Lafayette, Tippicanoe CO, Indiana schools in 1856. She
Married my great Grandfather, JAMES MADISON SHIPP, 13. Sept, 1856 in
Lafayette Indiana. Lived and raise her children in Boswell, Benton, Indiana.
Died, may 1904 in Yates Center Kansas and is buried in Boswell, Benton,
Indiana. May Have found her brother, S. Lawson Kilborn, born 28, Dec, 1835,
Kingston, Ontario, Canada and was raised in Monroe Co, New York. His bio in
Clark CO, Illinois states his parents were William Kilborn and Catherine
Powell. Please help me and give me any suggestions. I have searching for 18
