Are you interested in doing another look-up for a cemetery record in Ripley County? My
husband's family lived there for a while, and the sister of his great-grandmother (who
was Anna Mariea Deaker Macke), Henrietta Deaker Lubbe, and husband C. Fredrick Lubbe,
raised their family in Brown Township near Olean. There may be other Lubbe or Deaker
family members buried elsewhere in the county, but I did find some of their records in the
Old Lutheran listing in a book of Brown Township, Ripley County, Indiana, cemetery
records. Unfortunately, the book was in Allen County and I live as far away from there as
I do Ripley County, so I can't go badk to look at it again. I have checked out the
cemetery listings for Ripley County on the GenWeb site, but can't seem to find this
cemetery listed.
There was a reference in the Brown Township cemetery book as to where Henrietta and Fred
Lubbe were born. It had the word "cutter" in it, and I can't seem to find
anyone who speaks German who knows what that means. I was hoping to see if that term was
used for any one else in the book.
Also, I wondered if there were old Lutheran Church records still in existance for the
church near Olean. Hopefully, you or someone else who might read this will be able to
answer one of my questions. Thanks for reading this long message and for any help or
guidence you might give.
