Thank you so very much...I really appreciate your eforts more than you know. I have
recieved info from the cemetary re: Mary L. Jones (Mary Lee Jones), Born 27 Dec 1922 in
Guthrie, KY. She died in Indianapolis Nov. 21, 1982. She is buried beside a Forrest Edgar
Jones who died June 3, 1981. They are in Section 73, Lot 44. There is a Carl E. schaefer
and a Betty R. Schaefer in this same Lot. But I have just recieved this information and
have not had time to do any further investigation. I was unfamiliar with the additional
burials at Crown Hill. Also some of the information from the Cemetery that I recieved
from Researcher Sue Staton at the Cemetery has internment date of 23 Nov 1982 and the
printout from the cemetary says Nov.24,1982. It also has the authorization for
internment signed by Forrest Jones of Inglewood, CA and on the lot layout it shows that
Forrest Jones died June 3, 1981, 17 months before Mary....Might be that this Mary Lee
Jones is the wife and mother !
of a Forrest Jones...and not our Mary Lee Jones....
I wish I could give you more info to go on...but all I am certain of is that my
father's brother said that he was 7 when I was born and that my mother was 16...that
would make her born about 1925 or 1926. Her name was Mary Lee Jones and possibly her
father was called Meredith. I know she was in Indianapolis on Manhattan Street near S.
Norfolk in 1941 and delivered me in Crawfordsville County Hospital in Feb. 1942. She was
in court in Indianapolis in the summer of 1942 and was seen at a restaurant on Washington
near Norfolk St. in Indianapolis for years after that.
Information on another relative that I know for a fact when she died and was buried is off
by a year because I have pictures of her with one of my son's who was born a year
after they say she died. Golly the facts are hard to sort out.
I am anxiously awaiting an information you can find and again Thank You.
