Anna Indy is right - if there are no records it's going to have to be be a walk in the
park. I attached a map of Holy Cross/ St. Joe Cemetery to give an idea of the layout. Once
separate cemeteries, they merged over time but the sections maiantain their ethnic origins
(mor eor less). The map shows separation, but that's for clarity. The sections are
actually not physically separated. The Irish were the St. Joe, German were the Holy Cross
and now mixed in newer sections. While here is a soldier's secton marked, Civil War
markers are located throuhgout the cemetery. We do not know if Judge's marker, if any,
was the Civil War militray style which would make it easier to spot. It is tightly packed
in the older sections. I am there frequently and will also keep an eye out.
