Hi everyone,
There is a cemetery that my dad was telling me about this evening that is in
Wildcat Township. Here's how he described it: He said it is on the
"two-and-a-half mile" road from Windfall (meaning 2.5 miles north of Windfall
on Rt. 213). He was adamant that it was on the "two-and-a-half mile" road,
which runs only east from 213, not the "three mile" road, which runs in both
directions (my dad, the professor, doesn't know road names, I guess - LOL).
It is, apparently, not too far down the road, has about 60 burials in it and
has an iron arch at the entrance.
Is anyone familiar with this one, and does anyone know the name of it? I'm
familiar with Brookside in Windfall, and with a tiny one that could be seen
in the woods from 213 when I was a child (which is now probably totally
overgrown and forgotten). But I never remember seeing the one my dad was
talking about. He has the names of some Civil War veterans that are buried
there and is going to place flags on their graves when he visits Indiana in
October. I'd like to be able to tell him the name of the cemetery before he
goes, if possible.
Thanks,
