<< Hi Mark,
Interesting. I am researching Thesle Marie HOLLOWAY b. 17 Apr 1896, d. 14
Oct 1931 in Bluffton, Wells Co., IN. I would love to know who her parents
were. This is a brick wall for me. Does her name ring a bell with you?
Curious, what led to the big move from MD to Hamilton Co., IN?
Appreciate any help or direction you could provide.
Thanks,

Hi Frank - sorry can't help with Thesle Marie HOLLOWAY.
On your question - the Carey's, Holloway's and Timmons and others I'm sure,
first migrated to Hocking and Ross Counties, OH, about 1820, staying there
about ten years. Then to Hamilton County, IN. Not sure of the reason they
migrated. Maybe after the Rev War the West was opened up, free land to the
Rev War vets. New roads through the mountains made travel much easier. I
purchased William Dollarhide's book "Map Guide to American Migration Routes,
1735-1815." An excellent resource to see how the US was populated through the
migration routes.
Have a nice day.
