ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
I am not sure where to turn for help on this matter. Perhaps
your organization can assist me. A friend of mine's husband,
who is now deceased, had in his possession a gravestone
marker of a small child. This marker was washed away by a
river flood in the late 1950's and came to rest on farmland
owned by my friend's family in Ohio. This was when he was a
teen. Instead if seeking return of the grave marker, he
kept it. My friend and I are attempting to return the grave
stone. My friend's husband lived in Ohio, but
I believe the headstone comes from the Rush County Indiana
area. The marker reads:
Sadie Ethel Griffin
Dau of Mr H. J. Griffin
Died Aug 22, 18??
I cannot make out the last two digits.
What is the first thing I should do to seek the proper
replacement of this granite marker?
