As you know, Ananias Wilson (the 1st picture) is the grave
marker of my gggrandfather. So neat to see it here in your
collection.
Just so those on the list know, Chris so generously took
several pictures of my gggrandfather's stone and sent them
to me - I guess it was sometime last year, right Chris?
I am still searching for the parents of Ananias Wilson, who
was born in 1830 in OH, and was married to Jane Netta
Wooten in 1850 in St. Joseph Co., IN.

As a part of Historic Preservation Week in Evansville,
there will be a walking tour of Oak Hill Cemetery
May 13, today, at 2 p.m. at the east end of the lake
inside the entrance gate.
Oak Hill Cemetery is the largest in Vanderburgh County
with close to 68,000 burials. Oak Hill also has a 600 grave
Civil War Soldiers section.
