Hello,
While driving around killing time before a Dr's appt today I found two
burial grounds that don't seem to have any names visible as to the name of
the cemetery. I believe that they are probably family plots. They are in
Jay county on Rt. 28 near Albany, IN. I'm curious to know if anyone has
any information on them. One is just a very large monument with the name
CAYLOR written on it with an iron fence around it. Looks like it is on a
farm. Just curious if anyone has any history on that name. Were they
associated with the Caylor-Nickel clinic in Bluffton, IN? I did a quick
search and found a Caylor born and married in Delaware Co., IN and several
in Wayne Co., IN but didn't see any in Jay county at a quick glance on
Family Search.
The other one is also on Rt 28 east of Albany, IN and west of Ridgeville,
IN. It appears to have a about 50 really old monuments and a few newer
ones. I would have stopped and taken a look but it was raining.
