Hi Rick
If you are going to Crown Hill sometime, would it be possible to send me a
photo of Infant Leffel? There is a marker and is in lot 1197, section 37.
If the cemetery is too big and you have to travel all over the place to find
it, please don't go out of your way. I live in Massachusetts so can't visit
the cemetery myself. By the way, if this cemetery is the 2nd largest in the
country, do you know what the first is?
Thanks, Pat pattycake(a)gis.net

I've created a memorial on our site in common and did a photo request through that. At least I hope I did. The site has been going in and out all afternoon. I didn't even think about doing a search in the office when we had our gathering there in May.

You're welcome. One of the few cemeteries that has such a database. Crown Hill is huge - 2nd lagest in the country.
Assuming the posted location is accurate, you want a photo? I can add it to my To Do list for my next trip.

I only saw the grave markers and none indicated doctors. There were other Schaefer that I did not check.
I will search Crown Hill's database for the Morrows.

OK, I just sent it again. I will re-send with the full version - maybe that's the one I did send - it was nearly 2 megs.
I did not research other Mary Joneses until you decided if this was the one or we had better information.
If you want to check them out yourself and see who's there, go to http://www.crownhill.org/genealogy/index.html
- you can search for a list of the Mary Jnes burials - most with dates.

Were any of the Schaefers indicated to be doctors? I also have a Dave Morrow related in some way to the Schaefer family and he was one of the main figures responsible for my adoption. He was married to my maternal grandmother (adoption side) and I recall visiting the Schaefers at a lake...and "Grandpa Dave" died at their home. He and my "Mamaw" Goldie Marie Hoffman Morrow told me most of what I know...and I was given several "hints" about my personal memories that led me to believe that they were personal friends with my blood family. I know that she is also buried in Crown Hill.

If not, we'll check further into the "other" Mary Joneses at crown Hill.

Whoops. Yes, I did get the one for Mary and Forest Jones...but I would like to see the full-size pix.
I am still deeply investigating to see if this is my mother...I haven't been able to find out who Forest is. That will give me a better clue.
You had mentioned that there were other Mary Jones in the cemetary. Were you able to find anything on them?
Looking forward to hearing from you...Donna

Dear dloand91,
Sorry to be slow. It was raining all last weekend, but I did find the gravestones today. Watch your private mail for the photos. I found Forest Jones and Mary L. Jones (on same stone); two markers for Carl E. & Betty R. Schaefer are adjacent to the Jones' marker.
There are several other Schaefers nearby - do you have any other Schaefer names that might be related? Ralph M., Theodore, Charles, Emma were in the same row a few markers down.
Hope we got the right Mary L. Jones, et al. Let me know.
Rick in Indy
