Kenneth Ray Jamerson

Kenneth Ray Jamerson, 72, Carmi, died Monday morning, Aug. 27, 2007 at
Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1935 in New Memphis, Ill., the seventh son of William
Robert and Clara Jane (Brinkley) Jamerson. He recently returned to Carmi
after living several years in Spokane, Wash. He worked in the oilfields and
as a bartender at the Elks Lodge in Carmi before his move to Washington.
He is survived by two daughters, Wenona Rae Jamerson and Barbara Jane
Howard, both of Carmi; one granddaughter, April Newman, and one grandson,
Karl Holland, both of Carmi; two great-granddaughters, Andrea Holland and
Sydney Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by
his parents and six brothers, Floyd, Dean, Earl, Bob, Harold and Delmar.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Stendeback Family
Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi. Visitation will be from noon until the
time of the service. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi at a
