Margaret H. Mason

Margaret H. Mason, 88, formerly of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, Feb.
20, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Newburgh, Ind.
Margaret was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Wetumka, Okla., to Rev. James M. and
Selma Redding. She and her husband moved to Illinois in the early 1940s
following the oil industry expansion. She was a homemaker and a wonderful
wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many in Crossville. Her eight
grandchildren fondly called her "Grandma Maggie" and have many precious
memories of their times together. She will be greatly missed.
Margaret was a member of Crossville Missionary Baptist Church for many years
and attended Abundant Life while residing in Newburgh.
She is survived by her son, Max and wife, Mae, and daughter, Sue Calli, all
of Newburgh; a sister, Bernice Farris and husband, Gerald of Henderson, Ky.;
and a brother, Kenneth Redding and wife, Ann of Evansville, Ind. Her memory
will be cherished by her grandchildren, Mark Mason; Angie Calli-Fernandez
and husband, Casto; Mike Mason and wife, Michelle; Macie Martin and husband,
Dave; Gega Sharp and husband, Tony; Matthew Mason and wife, Eva; Jenny Minor
and husband, Steve; and Rocco Calli. Also surviving are 12
great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Mason of Crossville,
who died in 1987; her parents; and her stepmother, Alpha Redding.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Cook Funeral
Chapel in Crossville, officiated by Pastor Troy Boulware of Abundant Life
Community Church in Newburgh. Burial will be at Little Wabash Cemetery near
Crossville. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until service time at Cook Funeral
