Look for articles in the Washington Post and other papers about this
White County native, who apparently served as a battlefield nurse during
the Civil War. Someone brought a medal with her likeness into the
visitors center at Manassas which started lots of research on her. She
married a Union Captain, Samuel J. Foster in 1865, and lived in White
County most of her life.
