Wanda M. Terrell, 71, of Grayville, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at St.
Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.
She was born June 17, 1940, in Stonefort, the daughter of Myrtle M. (Borum)
Houck and Walter C. Houck. She married William Terrell on April 21, 1956,
and he preceded her in death on May 28, 2010.
Wanda was a member of First Christian Church in Grayville, Order of the
Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed many things in life,
cooking, knitting, being with family, helping others when she was able, and
especially her granddaughter, Wendi Gail Terrell.
She was a life partner with her husband, Bill, in whatever life handed them.
Through faith and love they tackled challenges together, never giving up.
Most importantly, Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt
and friend, and she will be missed until we can see her again.
Survivors include her son, William C. "Billy" Terrell and his wife, Deborah
S. Terrell, and granddaughter, Wendi Gail Terrell, all of Grayville; six
brothers and their wives, Denny and Betty Houck of Arkansas, Leo and Sue
Houck of Georgia, Hank and Pat Houck of Arkansas, Bill and Estelle Houck of
Oklahoma, Joe and Joyce Houck of Texas, and George and Georgia Houck of
Grayville; a sister, Dorothy Jo Marks and her husband, Ray, of Ohio; and six
special nephews and niece, Jeff and Sherry Tice of Canton, Ohio, Jeff and
Shelly Osborne, Darrin and Dana Houck, all of Grayville, Darrick and Mernia
Houck of California, Jeff and Crystal Kiefer of South Bend, Ind., and Erin
and Tim Rankin of Grayville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Myrtle Houck; husband,
William Terrell; daughter, Wendi M. Terrell; brother, Junior Houck; sisters,
Elwanda Almond, Peggy Bender and Susie Q. Houck; and nephew, Greg A. Tice.
