I also have back to John & Elizabeth Reddick. I do not, however, have Elizabeth's
last name prior to her marriage.
Benjamin H. died in Pine Bluff, Ark, during the Civil War and was brought home by his
brother, Ransom, for burial. I believe it took him 5-6 weeks by horseback. It is said
that Benjamin had malaria. Ransom was also bothered with it for the remainder of his
They had two other brothers who fought on the confederate side of the Civil War. As far
as we can tell by family stories, they were both killed in the same battle in Tennessee.
They were twins, we believe both named "William" with different middle

I have tracked down all of my great grandparents' children, grandchildren, etc. to
today's date. Have found many Cranes. I feel there must be a link back to the
"Nimrod Crane" in late 1700s in Augusta, VA, but I'm missing a generation, I
believe. Either that, or there were two marriages with two sets of children. I do find
two marriages for Nimrod. This name has been carried down the generations in my branch of
