Thomas FIRTH came to IL between 1860-68 with wife Elizabeth and son John
William. Thomas was then 60+ age and John 20+ age. I believe they came
from NY and were born in England. Thomas died in Cutler and is buried in
Cutler Cemetery 1881. I would like a copy of the obit or cemetery record
or to hear from anyone connected to this family of FIRTHs. John William
married Elizabeth Neilson 25Dec1868 Randolph Co.,IL. Children were:
Charlotte Firth(Davis),William R. Firth(Nellie Lafferty),Thomas D.
Firth(Sarah Catherine Hood)(They lived in Cutler),Elizabeth J.
Cem)Twins,Louella(Barwell)(Ervin)(Lived in Cutler) and
Christiana(Carter)(Cutler Cem.),Obed Firth.
I am trying to prove that this Thomas Firth was my GGGrandfather and an
exact death date would help. I also believe that this Elizabeth is his
second wife and not the mother of John William Firth.

The 1807 Indiana Territorial Census, for Randolph County, Illinois
Territory, lists only two Davis': James and Richard, and one Bissell:
My great grandfather, Thomas M. Davis, was born in Illinois in 1799/1800.
He named a son James Bissell Davis, leading me to believe Thomas may have
been a son of either James or Richard Davis, and that his mother may have
been a Bissell.
Does anyone have any information relating to the three men, or to any
Davis/Bissell family known to have been in Illinois before 1807?
Thanks in advance for any related information.
I am currently searching for information on Thomas and Elizabeth
Kingcade of DuQuoin, Illinois. Thomas shows up on the census from 1860
to 1900. Elizabeth is missing after the 1880 census. I have found some
information on their sons Arthur and Abraham and daughter Abbie, but am
unable to find death records or burial information for Thomas and
Elizabeth. Any information on this family including children or
relatives would be appreciated. They also used the following spellings
of their name, Kincaid, Kincade
hopefully i will get a lot of new information from this group, as well as
possibly help you out in your research!
