Back in 1833 in Ontario Canada, Heman MEAD married Jane DODGE. They
emigrated to Dixon, Lee county, and raised their family. Below is the
lineage as I know it.
What I desperately need to know is the first name of Jane (Dodge) MEAD's
father. Was it Daniel? Research in Ontario has not helped as yet. I am
trying to learn if this Jane DODGE was a sister to Lydia WILLIAMS, wife of
Cyrus WILLIAMS and daughter of Daniel DODGE. This couple also emigrated to
Dixon. Perhaps there are Mead, Dixon, Smith or Conard descendants who might
know. I do have portraits of Jane and Heman kindly supplied by the Dixon
family, but really need to know if I have the right Jane. I have noted that
one of Jane and Heman's daughters was named Lydia - after her sister?.
Thanks for any help.

Looking for information on Zophar (Jophar)WHEATON and his wife Ann (JIREL
possibly). Zophar was born abt 1820 in NY or NJ according to 1870 Illinois
Census. His wife, Ann, was born abt 1823 in NY or Iowa. They had children:
Jane, Elvira and Francis Elizabeth. Possibly more. Francis Elizabeth married
Lewis FENSTEMAKER(FENSTERMACHER)in Lee County, Illinois about 1870.
There is an Ephraim and Jane WHEATON listed in the next household on the
1870 Illinois Census. Aged 72 and 73 respectively both born in NJ. Possibly
parents of Zophar??
Does anyone know these people??
