My great uncle Albert Higgins b: 1892 in Champaign County Illinois (I think) was farmed
out as a toddler to Wm Hazelton of Lawrence co Ill because his parents: Mary Elizabeth
Symmonds d: 1894 of typhoid fever and his father, Dr. Wm Samuel Higgins d: 1898 in Macon
co Il of heart failure while living with a daughter, Myra Higgins Finkenbinder.
Uncle Albert married a woman named Hulda and they had one son: Evon and 2 daughters Margie
and Betty. Albert worked for the Indian Refinery in 1920 for sure and I think he retired
from there. He had 3 siblings: John, (my grandfather), Cozetta and Marie Jenny also
farmed out to others when their parents died. Anybody sound familiar??? Joann
