I am sending this to the list and will send you a more detailed copy of my
information on the parents and siblings of Harrison Hardacre from
He was the 11th child of Benjamin Hardacre (b: 07 June 1776 in Prince
George County, Maryland d: 05 April 1848 in Donnelsville, Clark Co., Ohio)
and Nancy McFadden (b: 19 August 1787 in near Londonderry, Tyrone Co.,
Ireland; d:06 September 1866 in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Co., Illinois) they
were married on 11 December 1806 in Winchester, VA.
His siblings, in birth order were: John H., William Joseph, Sarah, Barbara
Ann, William, Benjamin Jr, Robert, Elizabeth Ann, Thomas Forbes, Hiram, and
I have very little information on Harrison, only that he was born in 1830. I
have no information on Martha Thompson. I do have that Robert (the 7th
child) had a first wife named Mary Emma Thompson.
I am related to this family through Thomas Forbes Hardacre (the 9th child,
1825-1890) and his second wife, Sarah Rae. Their daughter, Nancy Hardacre
(1869-1957) married my great-grandfather, Thomas Hayman White (1865-1936) in
1892 in Lawrenceville, IL. Thomas worked for the B&O railroad in
Lawrenceville and later in Clay City, IL where he and Nancy are buried.
Thomas' father was Joseph Trimble White (1835-1904) who came to Lawrenceville
with his family from Muskingum Co., OH around 1848 and had a Wagonmaking
Shop in Lawrencville. He died there in 1904. I am looking for more
information on the White family in Lawrenceville and also information on
Joseph Trimble White's first wife, Clarissa Powers (b. abt 1833 in IL, d.
1878 in Lawrenceville). I have no other information on my great,
great-grandmother Clarissa Powers.
