Looking for offspring from Verner and Susie Cunningham Stoltz. They had Myrtle (age 3) and Gertrude (age 1) in the IL, Lawrence Co., Petty Township, 1920 Census. If this rings a bell with anyone, I would like some help. Thanks
Thank you for all the replys and suggestions. I have tried on the 27 newspapers
noted and as luck would have it , there is not a copy for Feb 1873. Hope some day
to find this.
Thanks again. Roland Bauer

While I was doing some research on my line of PETTY family, I encountered
some pages w/ info about the HARDACRE family who married into the SMITH line
who also married PETTYS. In other words, I have 4 pages copied w/ info about
HARDACREs also. If they happen to be yours, I would gladly share what I
These families were in Clark CO., OH prior to going to Lawrence CO., IL.
Here are the names of the parties I have:
Samuel SMITH, JR. b. 4 15 1812 in Clark CO, d. 8 31 1892 in Lawrence CO., IL,
his parents and his wife Barbara HARDACRE whom he married 12 24 1835 who was
b. in Shenandoah CO., VA I have the list of their 11 children if this is of
One of their children Washington Irving SMITH married Sarah Catherine WESTALL
of Perry CO., OH and went to Lawrence CO., IN (I believe this should be IL as
it is IL in later citations in the article.) I have their 4 children. If
any of this is your line, let me know.

I am looking for the third husband of Martha Ann Wright. I know she married Lindsey Laws, Nov. 19, 1845; then L. C. Watson, Feb. 14, 1865; the 1870 census lists her in Christy Township, but I can't read the last name but it isn't Laws or Watson; in 1881 she married Philip Diffendever (different spellings on different documents) of Richland County. I have not been able to find her in the 1880 Census. The marriage certificate to Philip lists this as her fourth marriage and says she was still living in the township of Christy of Lawrence, Co., IL. I appears from the 1870 census that her daughter, Minerva, may have married a Henry Shaw, but I can't find either of them after that census either. She is buried in Antioch cemetery--1895.
