Thomas ADAMS Is Called by Death
Thomas ADAMS, for many years a resident of Carbondale, and a merchant here,
died last night at 10:30 at his home, 603 South Marion St.
ADAMS had lived in this county all his life and had been in this city 27
He leaves a widow and one daughter, Mrs. O.C. SMITH, wife of the former city
commissioner, and a son, Will, also of Carbondale. Another son, LeRoy ADAMS,
died nine years ago.
Two brothers, John of Carbondale; Enoch of Clinton and a sister, Mrs. Jasper
FOX of Carbondale survive.
The funeral will be held from the Grace Methodist church at 2:30 Thursday.
Rev. W. D. SIMMONS will conduct the funeral services. Burial will be at

kindness and sympathy extended to us during the illness and death of our
loving husband, and father, and for the lovely floral offerings, the
