REF: Edgar Basden, born abt 1891 in Sandridge, Jackson County, IL

grandparent's marriage license. They were married in Dexter, MO 17 Nov
1916. The 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 Federal census all show him to be
living in Jackson County, IL. Since her father was a Methodist minister it
surprises me that he did not perform the wedding. They were married in a
His WWI draft registration says he was in Oran, MO. Oran is in Mississippi
County and Dexter in Stoddard Counties. Both counties are in Missouri at
Sikeston, MO and are just slightly southwest of Jackson County, IL.
Would anyone have an idea of why this contradiction would exist? All my
research up to this point indicates he was always in IL.
