Got this from someone’s tree online. John W. Cook born in 1847, son of Josiah Cook and
Lydia Parker. His brother William born in 1848. In 1849 Lydia dies of cholera at 23.
The 2 boys were sent to live with grandfather, John Parker. That’s the 1850 census.
Josiah Cook remarried Eliza Jane Smith.
In 1860 census John and William Cook are living with grandparents, Richard and Glaphrey
Cook in Texas County, Missouri.
