I just sent you an e-mail in response to your response to my
posting on an ancestry.com
board re. Elmer and Minnie (Hart) Ratcliff.
This post of yours (below) just came in, gatewayed to the
IDWashington board a few minutes ago, and I noticed that your marriage
date for Moses Elliott and Harriet Ramage Hart differs from what I have.
In checking my file, I do have a copy of their Washington County, Idaho
marriage record, and it does state that they were married on November 15,
1891. I'll be glad to send you a copy of this document, if you'd like.
This is the first time I've seen May Elliott referred to as "Arty
May," but this would make sense, because Moses Elliott's mother was
Artemesia Dearduff. However, she was called "Arty" (even in the death
records of some of her children), and sometimes referred to herself as
"Arty Mesy." So, perhaps May's full name was Arty May and she just went
by "May" her whole life.
I noticed that you referred to Lincoln's death as being
mysterious. I'd also be interested to know how he died. I asked the
funeral home in Newport, WA if they knew how he died, and they did not.
He was buried at the Newport Cemetery on July 20, 1922. According to
their information, he died at Wilbur, Lincoln Co., Washington on July 18,
1922. This makes me think we should try to get a copy of his death record.
I'll look into that.
I'm glad to be in touch, and am looking forward to comparing notes
and exchanging information with you.

Does anyone have information on Moses Eliot or Eliott ? Believe he had quite a bit of
land in or around this area when they married. He married Harriet November 17 1892. She
would have had 2 small girls when they married. They had two more children a daughter,
Arty May and a son Lincoln. Lincoln was killed in a mysterious way at the age of 22 in
