Here are two death notices that appeared in newspapers near Potlatch, Idaho. Tensed is in
Idaho, but Tekoa and Farmington are both located in Washington state. Although there is
not a great deal of personal information in them, I do hope that they help. If you want

Richard H. Elder Dies at Potlatch After Accident

Potlatch ---- Richard H. Elder, 70, died at Potlatch hospital yesterday afternoon where
he was taken following an accident while loading poles at his place near Tensed. Elder,
whose home is in Farmington, was making the poles and loading them on a truck when one
struck him on the head Monday morning.
He was brought to the hospital at 12 noon and died at 1 p.m. without regaining

Richard Elder, Farmington, Killed at Potlatch, Ida.
Potlatch, Idaho -- July 26 -- A blow on the head from a pole he was loading on a truck was
fatal here last night to Richard H. Elder, 70, Farmington, Wash. He died at the Potlatch
hospital an hour after the accident.
The body was taken to Tekoa. His widow and a step-son, Elbert Charbaneau, survive.
