Hi Idahoans,
Happy Belated Patrick Day! to those advocate Irish folks. I have to say
that my paternal grandmother gave me her Irish heritage of the McDowell or
my 2nd great grandmother her Ervine heritage. Nevertheless, I'm still an
American! One big melting pot of familial heritage. Aren't you? Tell your
team mates about your Irish heritage. Be proud and green, or a true irish
clan is orange.
Okay!? Enough of that, but more of this ... it's roll call again. I hope
you have check in for the month. I don't know if any of you have been on
our homepage lately. I have added a couple of new features to the homepage.
First, the "Idahoan Legacy Roots", we are feature one of our own Idahoans,
Chris Storey's Tremelling Family; and Second, "Genealogy Record
Techniques", I have one of the NBC's feature story from "Who Do You Think
You Are?" of Reba McIntire's THREE EASY STEPS: *Discovering the choices
they made. And why.* (
http://idgenweb.org/)
If you folks have any ideas or a family with photos to feature for next
time around. It would be great if you could pass them along to our IDGenWeb
patrons. Also, if you can help out with the 1940 Familysearch Indexing it
would be appreciated. Just remember when you sign up to set your group to
"Idaho Genealogical Society" to give them credit for our state indexing.
Need help on that? Just ask me and I can help you through the process.
Well, folks we've had some rain and a few thunderstorms. My poor guide dog
hates those thunderstorm. The sound if unbearable to her even if it is
quite a distance from us. But, my wife and I learn to just give her one of
her treats in her rubber kong-bone and let her chew it away until she
finishes and pass out. It a good way to distract her from the stormy
nights. Spring is springing here. The tulips on campus are just about to
pop-up soon. In a couple of weeks we'll have other flowering plants a
blooming. We've already had out flowering trees budded and fallen. Oh!
Yeah, it spring allergy time too. My poor eyes are feeling it now. I just
wish I didn't have to put in eye drops every couple of hours.
Well, folks have a great weekend and welcome to spring,
Matt
