I think my combination of Spam Assassin, Spam Butcher, and Thunderbird Junk Controls keeps
me from having to see most of those. I have seen a few advertising driven websites that
try to increase their hits, and therefore revenue, but getting links placed whereever they
can. But I've never received a request like that I was even remotely tempted by.

This sounds like some kind of phishing to me, but I fail to see what the pay-off is.
