Good Morning Idahoans,
Sorry for not getting on top of this month's roll call, however, thanks to
Scot and Chris for get us started for the month! A "Brownie" Button for
each of you. LOL
I've been busy with my grad courses since it is now getting down to crutch
time. I'm in the process of writting my two 20-page essays. And still
trying to keep up with whatever online discussion or assignments of the
course. It would have been nice if the professor wouldn't do that so that
we have more time to write our big essays. LOL But it's graduate school, no
fat chance in that. Like these professor thinks we are awake 24/7.
Thanks Penny for sharing about your great find from Idaho County
courthouse. I know that Blaine county has a vault full of old records. I
just hope they're still there when I get to that county someday.
Well, I'm checking in myself for the month but I'll grant my holiday wishes
later on. I hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving. Mine was okay until I
cooked my turkey the weekend after thanksgiving day. Guess what! I nearly
fried it to charcoal. My oven decided that it wasn't going to work right.
After that whole weekend of inhaling burned smell in the apartment and
trying out the oven again by baking a pumpkin cake and burn it too. I gave
up and on Monday called school maintance to see what the problem with the
oven. Well, it turned out the knob that adjustes the temp had gone out so
when I set my temp at 300 it wouldn't stay there and go up to 500. Now, I
wondered why my turkey and pumpkin cake was burnt. Aaargh! Such a waste,
but my wife and I ate most of it that wasn't bad. No! We didn't get sick
either. Lucky us.
Well, weather surely acting strange this week, 50 to 70 degree day and
night when we had been having down in the 20s at night and high 50 or 60. I
hate this, especially when I was just getting use to the cold morning run
and then have to shed some warmer clothing to shorts.
Well, I hope you all have a great month. Remember keep safe and enjoy your
time with your family for the upcoming holidays. I know I will.
Have a great month,
Matt Friend
