This is an Announce-only mailing. Please do not reply. You are
receiving this Announcement because you are a member of the USGenWeb
Project. If you are no longer a Project member, please contact the

Monday, June 2, 2003, 8:00 am ET, nominations will open for the
available positions on the USGenWeb Advisory Board. Nominations will
continue for two weeks, and will cease June 16, 2003, 8:00 am ET.
Nominations made before or after the nomination open and close
dates/times will not be accepted.
There are a total of thirteen (13) open positions. A list of those
positions and eligibility requirements is available on The Election

In each of two regions, Northwest/Plains and Southeast/Mid-Atlantic,
there are two positions open for County Coordinator Representatives.
In those elections, the high vote candidate will be seated for the two
year term ending 8/31/05, and the runner up will be seated to complete
the two year term ending 8/31/04.

Follow the instructions on the form. Be sure to fill in the
qualifying project or state and county, as appropriate. If you have
difficulty in opening the form, contact the EC Representative in your
region and state, or project:

Members may nominate themselves. The names of nominators are
confidential, known only to select EC Members, and are not released to
anyone, including the nominees.

also find links to nominees, general information, and a FAQ.
Information on the nominees will be updated regularly throughout the
nomination period.

At the end of the nomination period, there will be a link to a
Candidates page which will include the Email address of each
candidate, and the URL of each available Campaign page.
Voting will begin July 1, 2003, and continue for the month. You will
receive another Announcement note before the voting period begins.

The USGenWeb Election Committee would like to encourage every member
to participate in the Election process. Please consider nominating an
individual of your choice, or accepting a nomination. Above all,
