Welcome to all the new coordinators. I'm fairly new myself (will introduce
myself below) and am excited to get acquainted with you all, and to
cooperate with you in providing excellent resources for our Idaho
researchers.
My name is Mike St. Clair and I took over the CC responsibilities for Teton
county a few months back. I'd be delighted to have any and all of you check
out what I've done so far and make suggestions for improvement. You will
find the Teton County site at
www.tetonid.us. Although I have a couple of
other counties, I'm especially excited about this one because I actually
live within a practical distance to periodically visit the county. I've
been there twice now since this new assignment began and am working on a
project to post photos of some of the remaining older structures in the
county.
My connection with the county is mainly through the early Hochstrasser
settlers, who arrived well before the county was formed. It's a fabulously
beautiful place, but was very difficult for those early settlers in the
winter time. If you are within driving range and haven't been to Teton
County Idaho, you are doing yourself a disservice.
