Thanks for the input, which is most appreciated. I've added a new page for family
photos, so hopefully someone sends some to add! I also added the 50 yrs or older note.
Believe it or not, I've actually had someone send me the photo of a corpse! I just
about fell out of my chair! The person was actually upset that I wouldn't post it.
Made me laugh later, but at the time, it wasn't very funny! Another good one was a
woman wanted me to add a fairly recent picture of her aunt, who was still living, because
every other member of her family had a photo on the site. So, she altered the photo to
make it look older, even though it was fairly new. She added in scratches, and turned it
into black and white. I refused to add it, but I gave her points for trying!

I like the "photo must be 50 yrs. old" rule. One of old guide pages on
Nat'l
genweb site said "no living people & no photos of corpses" - "must be
50 yrs.
old" sounds better.

Natalie, I suggest you stick to the same rule of thumbs as you been doing
with the other USGenWeb project. Don't put newer photos. That for ideal for
Facebook to share with their friends and family not a genealogy website.

I was wondering if any of you have a rule for posting family photos? Do
you require them to be at lease of a certain age, such as 50 years or
older? Do you allow photos that include people who are still living?
The reason I'm asking is because I have two TNGenWeb county sites, and was
having problems with people sending me all of their pictures from the most
recent Christmas, to use the sites as their online photo album. I made a
rule that required the photos to be at least 50 years old, which solved the
problem.
I'm wondering what the rest of you do about this. At present, I don't see
any family photos on the Nez Perce Co. site, but would love it if people
sent their photos to be included!
Thanks, Natalie
