I had a weird experience with ancestry last summer. It started with "W. Exon"
wanting to know when I was going to update the obituaries on the valley co. site. He did
not identify himself as being from ancestry & I referred him to the genealogical
society who sends them to me. A few wks. later he contacted me, wanting me to add a link
to
ancestry.com to the local museum site which I maintain. Neither I nor historical soc.
prez saw a reason to promote a fee site on the museum site, especially since museum is
barely able to keep doors open. When I realized it was same person who had inquired abt.
the obituaries, I figured earlier he was trying to harvest obituary data for ancestry.
