Thanks Mike.
I think I figured it out. I added this to my style sheet
table {
font-size: 10pt;
}

I don't see a size problem on your font, perhaps because you "took it out"
How about making a surnames-test.html with the problem showing so I can see
what you mean?

Subject: [IDGEN] font control
help --
I have lost control of the font size in the table on my new page --
http://www..rootsweb.ancestry.com/~idgem/surnames.html --
which I was trying to pattern after Canyon Co.'s similiar page. My "HTML,
XHTML & CSS for Dummies" says that should be dealt with in the style
sheet. Because of multiple tables I've been using in line codes; even
trying that, the in-table font is too large, so I took it out. What am I
missing?
Thanks.
Sharon
